musee rodin

It's been too long since I last shared a visit to the museum & this has to be an all time favourite, not just mine but probably for many of us who either live in Paris or have been here to visit. If you're planning a trip to Paris, this one is definitely worth squeezing in on your list. The beautiful Hotel Biron housing the works of Rodin is nothing but stunning & the three hectares garden is perfect for a quiet, lazy stroll all year round. There's a little cute outdoor cafe as well where you can sit down & take a break. But most importantly, you get to admire Rodin's remarkable sculptures, several of his drawings, his personal collection of paintings including three Van Goghs & more.

And the less famous sweater sculpture (definitely the first time I see one of those)

I can't possibly talk about the museum of Rodin without mentioning The Thinker of course, probably one of the most famous sculptures in the world. Rodin originally named it The Poet. It represents Dante, the author of the Divine Comedy. You will also find the famous sculpture "The Kiss" at the museum.

Please note that the museum is currently undergoing some renovation work, so all rooms cannot be accessed, but all of Rodin's important works can be seen. Everything will reopen November 12.
